White Bass, Cats Active on the Wolf River
White bass are biting “GANG BUSTERS” on the Wolf River, according to expert Wisconsin angler John Faucher, owner of Johnny’s Little House of Bait in New London. Also of note is the fabulous catfishing.
“They are literally everywhere,” said Faucher. Even behind the bait shop. A number of folks have fished with me here this week for a combined total of over 220 cats, and we never even untied the boat from the dock. Stink Bait is the key, although we are catching some bigger cats on Cut bait. We are releasing the trophy cats and keeping the prime eaters for the smoker and filet board.”
“Good Times! Water level is at 6.69 feet and slowly dropping. This will trigger the walleye back into action after a week of tougher, raising water levels. Water temp in New London is at 65 degrees and rising. White bass by the hundreds are turning on by the minute!”
