Wolf River Crappie Fishing is Best in Lifetime

By John Facher

Wolf River Crappie Fishing

Fall harvest. Ann Faucher holds up a couple of average sized crappie that were included in her limit of 25 caught Sunday afternoon. Large schools of baitfish have been seen swimming up the river as crappie anglers continue to catch an abundance of fish in the submerged brush and trees from New London to Lake Poygan.

The word is out, says John Faucher, owner of  Johnny’s Little Shop of Bait in New London.  Anglers are catching crappie by the limits just about everywhere on the Wolf River from New London all the way down to the lakes.  “Many are talking that they have not seen crappie fishing this good in their entire lives,” Faucher writes On Wisconsin Outdoors.  “Here are a few photos you might want to use.”
