Price County Fishing Report 1-14-13
Anglers have seen mixed results this past week. Many of the lakes in our area are safe to travel and many have vehicle traffic. We could use some snow to make foot travel easier as the bare ice is quite slick. The cold temps predicted for this week will make good ice.
The walleye bite was at last lite this past week. Tip ups with med shiners just off the bottom in 6 - 10 ft. saw the most activity. Some nice perch caught on jigs tipped with small fats were a bonus. Northern pike are in the remaining weeds in water depths of 3 - 6 ft. Larger shiners are picking up a few.
The Butternut and Schnurs lake Association is hosting a fisheree this Saturday from 7am- 5pm at Dick & Joan's Resort on the north end of Butternut Lake. Contact the resort for information.
