Price County Fishing Report 7-23-2013
The walleye action is still fairly good with a peak bite in the morning and at dark. Leeches and Crawlers are still leading the pack in bait choices for local fishermen. Trolling or casting Flicker Shads have been getting some better sized fish.
Bluegill action is still good on the deeper drops near wood. Small jigs, slip bobbers, or just a plain old hook and sinker have all been working great.
Crappie are moving into the deeper areas of the lakes, We are finding them close to the bottom over mud and scattered. Try drifting small plastics or a jig and minnow. Some fishermen are reporting a good shallower bite right at dark.
Cats are going nuts, Chicken Livers, Crawlers, Cut Bait, Gulp, and Live Suckers are all taking cats. Many fishermen are reporting that it's the best cat action that they have ever had!!!
