Price County Fishing Report 2-4-2013
Panfish have started to do the traditional February slowdown. It's been a tough bite for bigger fish but they are still possible to catch. Slow down and downsize a little. There are a lot of small crappie and gills being caught providing some fun action. Just remember that these are next year’s nice ones and most of them should be given a chance to grow. Minnows on a bare hook have been working well for the Crappie as well as small jigs with a waxie or plastics.

Walleye action is okay. Anglers have been getting the walleye in a little deeper water as the ice thickens. Try moving out in the 6 to 10 foot of water for them in the evenings and early mornings. Shiners seem to be the flavor of choice for the eater sized fish.
Northern action is crazy. Customers were reporting running out of bait on area lakes over the weekend.
