Mississippi River Fishing In Ferryville

Ferryville is experiencing an “open winter,” but the ice fishing here on the Mississippi River is fantastic and there has been a traffic jam at more than one location.  Just north of Ferryville and above the Hwy 35/82 bridge is De Soto Bay.  I couldn’t believe the number of people on the ice today and they are really catching fish.

If you are a bird lover, eagles are everywhere and swans are here too, which is new in our area.  It has been such fun to look at life on the Mississippi River right now and see all of the action.  I am told 2 Snow Owls have been spotted here which is unheard of.
