Fishing has been slow

Water has been cooling down and the bass fishing has been slow.  We managed to find the fish in the backwaters on the east side of the lake in the afternoon.  The best bait was Lethal Weapons with blue brown plastic tube attached.  Northerns are biting on spinners but tough to locate.  Panfish are biting slow now but should pick up as the water gets colder.

Good supply of hickory nuts and black walnuts on the forest floor.  The bucks are scraping and some nice archery bucks have been reported.

Don’t forget to stop at the Richland County Chamber office located in town at the train station.  They are great place to get maps and advice.  The town offers some nice walking and biking trails to keep you busy during the days or just tour the shops.
