Richland County Fishing Report
Water levels are finally getting back to normal. Trout streams are all producing with fly fishermen doing the best. The backwaters of the Wisconsin River are showing great pan fishing action during the last couple of hours before sunset. Bass and northern pike have slowed down and should improve towards the end of the month. Small plastic jigs fished with 4-pound test is the ticket for crappies. Some 12-inch perch have been caught but you must fish the jigs close to the bottom. When fishing the backwaters, try to choose nights when there is very little wind.
