Price County Fishing Report
Despite the warm water temps fall fishing continues to get better and better, The water temps are hanging around the 60 degree mark and that's not going to change as we roll into the middle of October with mid 70's forecasted for weeks end. Look for most species of fish to move a little shallower, We have been pulling panfish out of 5 to 10 feet of water and were finding predator fish like Musky and Bass right there with them. Jig and Gulp or Jig and a chunk of crawler have been bagging us some nice Bluegill and Perch, We have peen using Fathead Minnows on a slip float or small jigs tip with plastics for Crappie with pink and white being the favorite color combo. We have been getting Walleye on Fathead Minnows under a Slip Float or tipped on a jig. We have been getting some of our bigger fish on Swim Jig style baits, Berkley Power Bait Ripple Shads have been one of my favorite and the Smallmouth Bass and Walleye seem to like them as well. With the warm water temps Musky have been hitting on a wide variety of lures, Last week we caught fish on surface baits, glider style jerkbaits, chop style jerkbaits, big blades, spinnerbaits and live bait.
