Price County Fishing Report 4/21/14
Looks like most of the Chain Of Lakes should be ice free by the opener of fishing on May 3rd. Ice out is progressing fine right now with a major channel open from the mouth of the Elk river thru Duroy, Elk and into Long, Most of the Narrow spots in Long Lake opening or soon will be. Soo Lake also has a lot of open water right now. The other lakes in the area are progressing a little slower but there still is a chance of them opening with 50 degree temps and rain in the forecast.
Some fishermen are reporting catches of Redhorse Suckers in the North and South forks of the Flambeau,Next week Saturday Big Bear will be hosting a Redhorse Tournament and the first ever Price County Walleyes forTomorrow Banquet will be held in Phillips.
Kind of a short report but we're less then 2 weeks away from the opener and hopefully some great fishing reports.
Pictured is the Narrows area of Soo Lake from Brumley's Resort.
