Price County Fishing Report 1/19/15
Cold temps the first part of January have made ice conditions great in the Price County Area, Some Lakes like Musser have a heavy layer of slush but for most part the lakes aren't too bad to get around on.
Walleye action has been ok, most anglers are reporting an early morning first light and late afternoon last light bite. Tip ups tipped with a medium golden shiner seems to be the most popular right now. Pike anglers are also doing well with some fish being caught in the lower 30" range. Set you shiner a foot or 2 under the ice on a tip up for best results on pike.
Crappie and Panfish anglers are reporting some good steady action on some are lakes while lakes the bite has dropped off. Plastics, Spikes, and Waxies seem to be the most popular fish catching baits right now. Most of the panfish have moved into the deeper basin areas of the local lakes.
Don't forget the Phillips Winter Fest Festivities going on this weekend including Fishing Contest, Flurry, Snowcross, and fireworks on Saturday and Breakfast and Snowcross on Sunday!

“The goodness of a person and of the society he or she lives in often comes down to very simple things and words found in the Scout Law. Every society depends on trust and loyalty, on courtesy and kindness, on bravery and reverence. These are the values of Scouting, and these are the values of Americans.”
President George W. Bush
