Fishing has slowed a bit, but folks are still catching fish! Activity seems to be the best in the late afternoon after 3 p.m. on Long Lake. Northern activity is still pretty good and they are really liking the shiners! Some really nice Crappie among the small ones too, and, an occasional nice Walleye every now and then! Selling lots of Waxies for the pan fish.

We've been getting out after bluegills and crappies lately, fishing in the afternoons mostly. The bite has been pretty consistent on tear drop jigs tipped with waxies. Size wise the fish are about half keepers and half littler ones on the lakes we fish, action has been good. Good luck and good fishing.

Biggest northern 35" 10.5 # caught on Spooner Lake this week, fishing with frozen ciscos and smelt. 13 " perch on Spooner Lake, waxie and Kastmaster jigging lure. 1# 4 oz crappie on Mystery Lake. Heard about nice walleyes on Lipsie/Lipsett Lake, tip ups with shiners. Don't forget to bring your "big One " in to enter in our monthly contest!!
