Daily Reports
5/5/16 Lake Geneva, sunny, 70 degrees, water temp 58 degrees, winds light out of the SW at 5 mph. An evening trip for crappies and bluegills. Caught about 30-40 five inch bluegills in Geneva Bay and outside of Trinkes Harbor. We fished in 3-4 ft of water and used leaf worms. No crappies to be found and two accidental smallmouth.
5/6/16 Delavan lake, sunny, 75 degrees, water temp 59 degrees, winds W at 10 mph. Had a bluegill trip and caught only a handful of small ones in Browns Channel and by Viewcrest. The best depth was 2-3 ft in the sand pockets.
5/7/16 Delavan lake, cloudy, rainy and sunny, 63 degrees, W winds changing to E winds. The cold front really effected the fishing. We could only manage one largemouth bass and one walleye. Both the bass and the walleye were caught in 4 ft of water on a nightcrawler.
5/8/16 Lake Koshkonong, sunny, 65 degrees, water temp 60 degrees, winds light out of the SW. Caught 6 whitebass and 5 walleyes. We were trolling crankbaits. Purple seemed to be the best color. We fished the north side of the lake near the mouth of the river.
