Black, minority Trump supporters censored by Gannett, other media at 2020 RNC Convention. Expect the same as Milwaukee hosts 2024 RNC Convention. Look back four years Wisconsin, to compare and contrast Gannett’s corrupt coverage of the 2020 Republican and Democratic National Conventions to know what to expect July 15-18 when the nation’s eyes rest on Milwaukee, home of the 2024 RNC convention.  The DNC will showcase its conventi...

Central Wisconsin Outdoor Report

On Wisconsin Outdoors On Wisconsin Outdoors

Lots of rain recently in central Wisconsin is making for very high water levels on areas lakes and rivers. A few boat landings are closed due to the high water levels and access is limited.  With that said a few brave souls are still getting out and picking up some nice walleyes and crappies along with a couple of nice smallmouth bass.  Action has been related to targeting backwater areas well off the main river channel.  What we are primarily looking for is calmer water with better visibility. Right now the water in the main river is fast, muddy and churned up making it almost impossible for fish to find your presentation.

Turkey hunters are encountering some sloppy conditions in the woods and on the fields. Recent rains have kept a lot of the birds at bay and the rain has kept most of the hunters indoors. Farm fields are a wet sloppy mess right now and access is not the best.  Be prepared to wear water-proof boots and rain gear if you are planning on hunting this turkey season.  A few guys have been hitting it hard and doing well.  Just because the conditions are bad doesn’t mean that you can’t bag your bird. The turkeys still have to eat and it is mating season so they are going to be out. You may have to try some different techniques or a new approach to be successful this season but it can be done.
