Central Wisconsin Outdoor Report 8/8/14
It has been another great week in the Central Wisconsin area with some very nice catches of fish being caught. The muskies bite continues to be very good with the best action early and late in the day. Walleyes have been giving us a pretty good bite, but for constant action the crappies and bluegills are hard to beat. Most of our fishing has now moved to low light periods early and late in the day but we are still seeing some mid day activity from the gills, bass and crappies. Catfish numbers are increasing and catching them can be a lot of fun. Most of the action is from deeper water by tossing out night crawlers of chicken livers and letting them sit right on the bottom. Wait for a pick-up and hang on! In addition to the great fishing our bear baits have been getting quite a lot of attention. Most of the activity is during low light periods but we are now seeing some daytime activity.
