Ashland County Smelt Report, Tuesday, April 18th
Area Smelters in Ashland report, Smelting has been great the past two nights. Predictions are: Smelting may be near peak right now or the next few nights but it is a Mother Nature call so it is uncertain how long they will run. The Ashland Chamber of Commerce does have a Smelt hotline to call at 800-284-9484 or check out their website at www.visitashland.com for updates on Smelting.
Ashland is receiving some rain this week which is good for the Streams. The rain will give a push of Steelheads up the Streams.
Anglers trolling the Bay have been doing good using stick baits and catching a lot of nice Browns and Coho’s.
