10/13/14 Price County Fishing Report
Fishing has been great the last week in the Phillips Area, I have been mostly doing Musky trips this time of the year, Last week we put 8 of the 9 Veterans that attended the Wisconsin Veterans Fishing Camp on Musky with the Vets combining to catch 14 total Musky. On most of the days on the water this week we have had multiple Musky in the boat with the best day being 5 in the boat. Musky are hitting on a wide verity of lures like Rubber, Suicks, Jakes, Large Bucktails and Suckers. We are slowing the speeds of the lures down just a little from summer speeds but not as slow as we would normally fish in the later fall. Perch and Firetiger patterns along with Natural walleye and sucker patterns are working well on most area lakes. I did have one Crappie trip this week and we did well, Mom and Dad had me take Brook out for her 13th birthday on Sunday, In the 4 hours on the water she ended up keeping 22 Crappie, 1 Walleye and 2 nice sized Pike and threw just as many fish back. We were using small plastics in 1/16 ounce Bottom Feeder Tackle Jigs, White is still been a top producing color.
