Washburn County Weekly Trail Report
It is finally the opener of Washburn County ATV Trails as of Saturday, May 26th; but because of the extremely dry conditions at this time and fire danger is elevated. Please note that ATV trails automatically close at any time that WI DNR lists danger as very high, or higher. Think rain! The moisture would help our area tremendously.
As for the fishing side of the outdoors, water temperatures keep increasing! Long Lake has reported about 62 degrees and Mud Lake is coming in at almost 70 degrees. There have been reports of nice bluegills and crappies being pulled up. The Walleye bite has slowly gone down while they are spawning but our fishing enthusiasts say that should start hitting hard again soon.
