Washburn County Trail Reporting

Washburn County received rain just in time for the ATV Trail Opener! The trails have been seeing a lot of action since the start of the season last Saturday. Volunteers are still working to get everything graded - so if you are coming up in the early weeks of the season there may be some rough patches along the way. Please note that throughout the ATV Season all trails, including the Wild River State Trail & the Railroad Grade to Shell Lake, will close if the Wisconsin DNR rates the fire danger as Very High or higher.

As for the fishing side of things, we are hearing reports of great panfish and walleye being snagged in the early mornings and later in the evenings. The water temperatures continued to warm up over the holiday weekend with the weather reaching in the 90's! It sure did feel like the middle of summer around here.
