Stevens Point Flowage Fishing Picking Up

The past couple weeks the game fish have been biting very well on the Stevens Point Flowage and I only expect it to get better. My clients have been catching fish with a 1/8 and 1/4 oz Jig and Minnow combination along with shallow-running crank baits next to new weed growth that came up the past week.
With the very early spring, we have been catching walleyes, smallmouth bass and northerns in 5 feet of water or less, averaging 100 plus fish per outing, along with some nice slot walleyes that have the feedbag on after the post spawn period. Water temps are in the mid 60's on the main channel and 68' in the backwaters with good current flow from the past rains.

Crappie fishing has been rather slow for us. I have heard of a few fish caught with a slip bobber and small minnow in 6-7 feet of water. They are waiting for warmer water to spawn which should happen very soon with the upcoming warm forecast for this weekend.
