Panfish on the Move...Richland County Fishing Report
By Wayne Morgenthaler
Wow! What a difference one week makes in fishing. The male bluegills are moving in fast and are still grouped up. By next week the females should be in and the action will be hot and heavy on the backwaters of the Wisconsin River. The Wisconsin River is down now and fishing is excellent using night crawlers. Walleyes are biting but hard to find those over 18 inchers that are required before keeping. Trout streams are very active with all the bug hatches now in full swing. Not too many mosquitoes yet but lots of May flies near dark.
