Ice conditions on Long Lake still remain spotty. As always tread carefully and enter at your own risk! Ice thickness reports are coming in anywhere from 2"-9" You might be sitting on 6" and find 2" just a foot away. The Narrows landing was a busy one today! The Northern bite is on using larger sucker minnows and shiners mostly on tip-ups. Walleye are also being caught mainly after 4:30 p.m. 7'-11' both jiging and on tip-ups. Baits of choice for Walleye have been Walleye suckers, and all sizes of shiners, one lure in particular that is working well is the Rapala Jiggin Rap. Bluegill are biting today! They seem to be liking waxies & spikes mainly. Crappie are also starting up, biting both on crappie minnows & waxies. Some folks having good luck with gold Flirty Girties as well as Jiggin UV Shad Raps tipped with a waxie.

The cold weather has brought ice fishing to the front of winter sports!! Reports of good ice on most lakes. We've had lots of Northern brought in for the contest and a few nice Crappies. Shiners and northern suckers minnows seem to be the favorite over the weekend. Crappie minnows and Rosy Reds are going well too.
