Price County Fishing Report 6-17-13
Walleye fishing is picking up, Leeches and Crawlers are the bait of choice right now. Walleye are slipping back to their summer haunts, that's wood in 10 to 18 feet of water in the Phillips Chain. Weedless jigs, Floating Lindy Rigs, or slip bobbers work well for walleye at this time of year.
Crappie are moving off the shorelines and are now being found on the main lake cribs. Vertical jigging close to the cribs or casing slip floats with small minnows are working well for Crappie.
Smallmouth Bass are starting are hitting well and are hanging close to shore. Tubes or small pig and jigs are taking most of the fish.
