Price County Fishing Report
By Professional Guide John Carlson
Walleye action has picked back up with some anglers reporting the bite switching over to minnows. Our guides at Ross's Sport Shop are still having great luck on half of a crawler on a jig head or lindy rig.

The nice thing about using the crawlers is the better chance of picking up a bonus big gill or some of the jumbo perch that we have been seeing this year. The bluegill bite has been great all summer with the fish still scattered from shallow to deep.
A few anglers are also reporting an okay crappie bite in the deeper basin areas of the lakes drifting small jigs with plastics or small minnows. Ross's Sport Shop guides have had a great musky season and it's just getting better for us. Blades and Topwater are still the go-to lures but we should be switching to plastics and jerkbaits as the water cools.
