Chippewa Flowage Angler’s Adjustment Brings Quick Walleye Limit
Walleye angler and OWO contributor Ron Klimcke found the evening bite good on the Chippewa Flowage for Walleye August 27.
“I was using a Kluz Jig which has a longer collar than the standard collared jig tipped with a minnow,” Klimcke said. “I started off drifting as there was a light breeze but missed a few fish so I decided to anchor and cast. I caught a nice limit in five casts at 16, 19 and 19 ¾ inches. The walleye were just moving up into the shallows and I caught them on the break lines.”
