Anglers can consider themselves in "Fishing Limbo" right now. It's really too cold to have a boat out on the water...And too cold to fish off the docks...There is no ice to start ice fishing on...so we just have to wait until Mother Nature sets the scene for a safe and prosperous ice fishing season. Be patient...It won't be long now!
The Ashland Chamber of Commerce, 1716 West Lake Shore Drive, 800-284-9484, welcomes all the visiting Anglers to Ashland, Lake Superior's Hometown. The first snowfall appeared on Thanksgiving Day. This could mean only one thing....It won't be too long before the ice starts forming on Chequamegon Bay.
Reports are coming in that the Inland Lakes should start forming ice soon. However, we always tell all the Anglers to call the local Bait Shops or the Ashland Chamber Office for a safe ice fishing report.
