Williams Quick Silver awarded BEST NEW LURE award at distributor show
Williams’ new Quick Silver spoon was awarded the Best New Lure award at the Big Rock Sports Outdoor Expo Toronto, held November 16-17, 2022. The new, entirely made in Canada, lure, which features Williams’ precious metal plating, vibrant airbrushed colour schemes and holographic fish-shaped decal, garnered the majority of votes among Big Rock sales personnel.
Sharon Gautrey, president of Brecks, William’s parent company, was excited by the award. “ This is a tremendous honour for our team. Everyone in the company, from the paint room to the board room, pulled together to design this lure during an extremely busy and tough time for our industry. Seeing this effort recognized by a great group of veteran industry professional is truly a reward on its own.”
A perfect lure for Landlocked Salmon, Cohos and Chinooks, Brown and Rainbow Trout, and many more, the redesigned Quick Silver can be trolled as is, with a downrigger, using leadcore or wire, or it can be cast effectively with medium tackle. The large Quick Silver 4 is 4 inch long and weighs in at 0.55 Oz. The smaller thinner Quick Silver 3 is 3 inches long and weighs in at 0.4 Oz.
Each spoon is stamped from top quality brass at the Brecks factory in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, and then plated in an environmentally friendly facility using jewelry quality silver and 24k gold, as well as premium copper. The plated spoons are then hand painted, holographic decals are applied and premium rings and VMC hooks added for a premium quality made in Canada spoon.
Williams spoons are available in a regular treble hooked version and single Siwash hook. The Williams Wabler, with its trademarked Williams Stabilizing Ridge is a classic and a Canadian tradition with worldwide recognition.
