Smelt Report, May 10, 2018

The ice is mostly out now!!! Finally! However, there are still some chunks hanging around the shoreline here and there. The Hot Pond is open and Bayview beach is mostly open. There was a report that a ½ bucket was brought in last night. Looks like a very slow start. We will keep you posted.
If you are a drop-net smelter, please note that the dock at Bayview Park is closed off due to storm damage and reconstruction.

Carolyn from Anglers all reports: The Bay is opening up with water temps in the high 30’s right now. Hopefully temps will start warming up by the weekend! Anglers are starting to get into some of the landings now.

Scott Bretting from River Rock reports: All Lakes are open now and most of the landings are open. Now so Anglers can start getting out.
