Public reminded of latest deer baiting/feeding ban in northern counties

DNR conservation wardens want the public to know they are transitioning from their nearly year-long public education phase of the new law banning the baiting and feeding of deer in Forest, Vilas and Oneida counties into enforcing the law as the fall hunting seasons start. The feeding of birds and small mammals still is allowed under the January 11 law, provided these feeders are not accessible by deer. Read more:
