Fishing:
10/29/18 - The musky fishing is on fire with the larger fish eating, water temps range from 38 to 44 in much of the area. Swimbaits, big cranks and suckers have been on the menu this week. 10/30/18 - Muskie action continued to be very consistent with many fish taking suckers. The muskies have begun to move out from shallow water. We located many of our fish off the first break in about 10-12 ft. Fish are moving into the wintering areas of the mid lake basins as the water temps continue to drop. Casting along the breaks provided follows from some very nice muskies. Bull dawgs, medusa, and lake x rubber baits provided most of the casting action. Suckers set below bobbers about 5-6ft down on quick set rigs had the best results. Slow drifts along those break lines are key. Anglers should stay off the trolling motors to keep from spooking fish.
