Price County Fishing Report
Fall Musky fishing is in full swing and the bigger fish are starting to move. Suckers, Plastics, Suick's and slow rolling big bucktails are all working well right now. Slow your retrieve down and match the natural forage in the lakes with your color selections. For most Price County area lakes Sucker patterns with brown and white, Perch patterns with gold, yellow, green and a little orange, and Walleye/Smallmouth patterns with brown, gold/yellow and white work well. If your fishing one of the Cisco based lakes just outside of our area you might want to try more white, silver, and blue in your color selections. Crappie, Perch, and Bluegill action continues to provide consistent action, Crappie are scattered in the water column and most of the Crappie are being found in the deeper areas of the lake, Perch and Bluegill are hanging close to deep water wood and cribs, 10 to 15 feet of water seems to be a good place to start looking for them on most area lakes. Smallmouth Bass are also very active right now, Look for Smallies close to shallow rock and fallen trees.
