Price County Fishing Report
Crappie action is still good, they are scattered over the deeper areas of the lakes, We have been drifting plastics or small jigs and minnows. Bluegill action has been good as well, we are finding the gills in 10 to 20 feet of water using small jigs and chunks of crawler or gulp. Walleye have been pretty tight lipped with the yo-yo like water temps, they should move a little shallower here in the next couple of weeks before going to deeper mid lake structure in late fall.
Sturgeon fishing has been good with reports of good numbers of sub legal fish being caught along with some bonus catfish, remember you need a tag and you can harvest 1 sturgeon of 60 inches or more each year.
Musky fishing continues to be good for us, last week 2 of our guide boats combined for a 13 fish day. We are getting Musky on anything from surface baits to live bait with most of the fish being close to shallow water. Sunday I had a young man (Hunter) on the water and he boated two 38.5 inch musky, one a natural and one Tiger. Pictured is Hunter with his Tiger.
