Price County Fishing Report
We’re kind of stuck in between seasons here in the Phillips Wisconsin area right now with the ice on area lakes not being safe for foot travel but still too much ice for safe boat travel.
Most of the area flowages have vast areas of open water on them with the Phillips Chain being about 50% open. Rivers are still very high after last week’s heavy rain and snow and look to stay high with snow and more rain in the forecast for this week.
Anglers that are finding some slower water are having some luck with Redhorse and Suckers already and the action should get better as the water levels drop and water temps warm a little more. Reports of Perch moving shallow have come in from Ross's Sport Shop customers as they start the spring spawning process with ice retreating from area lakes.
