Phillips Area Fishing Report.
With cooler water temps and this weekends Full Moon fast approaching look for the fish activity to be better then it has been the last few weeks. Cool nights and some rain have dropped water temps from the low to mid 80's to the mid 70's. Reports of Anglers catching Crappie and Panfish are coming in to Ross's Sport Shop and Guide Service, Crappie are suspended over the basin areas of the lakes and are hitting on plastics like Sliders and Panfish Pursuers and also on live bait like Crappie Minnows and Fatheads while the Gills and other Panfish have been hanging in 8 to 15 feet of water near any wood structure, we have also been finding walleye in these locations. Pike action had been picking up with the fish hanging near the first drop in to deeper water, Shad Raps, Spinners, Small Bucktails and Flicker Shads have been taking the majority of the pike. Musky Action has been a little challenging but our team of guides has been grinding them out, Top water is king in the morning and evening during low light hours and burning bucktails and ripping LakeXLures XToads have been producing in our boats all day long.
