IOLA, WI, - Since 2015, Iola Car Show organizers have shared a partnership with the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, offering special programming for select residents. Local Justin Moen has been tasked with putting fresh eyes on the program to be sure these veterans are getting the outstanding treatment they deserve. “It’s part of my joy, duty, and honor to help lead the charge to make our Cruise of Honor program an awesome experience for our local veterans from the King Veterans Home. Our veterans will be brought here by special vehicle on Thursday and Friday before 10a. The veterans will be part of a cruise that will start by the Vintage Mobil Station near Gate #4 and go around the Iola Car Show building. When you see a veteran on the grounds this weekend, please thank them for their service. It cannot be said enough,” said Justin Moen. Justin was raised by his grandmother and has been heavily involved in veteran related activities all his life. He’s been actively involved with the American Legion, Memorial Day parades, Iola Vintage Military show and more, and continues service locally at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Individuals and businesses interested in supporting future features of the Cruise of Honor should reach out to Justin via information@iolaoldcarshow.com. We want to thank this year's sponsors; Community Insurance, Team LogicIT, NRG Media, Packerland Portables, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg, MasterCarts, Justin Moen, Larry & Rhonda Fechter, Our Saviors Lutheran Church. About the Iola Old Car Show, Inc.: In 1972, author and publisher Chet Krause invited several local collector car enthusiasts to attend the Iola Lions Club Chicken Roast fundraiser as his guests. Twenty arrived with their classic cars, which quickly became a yearly tradition. The operation was incorporated as a 501 c 3 non-profit in 1984, as it remains today. The Iola Car Show is now the largest classic car show and swap meet in the country. The Show leverages the power of vehicles to create memories and transform lives. Proceeds each year provide direct benefit to over 130 local community organizations whose members volunteer their time to make the event possible.
