Jerry Kiesow Steelhead Report 3-27-2015

On Wisconsin Outdoors

Good morning all,

Well, it was supposed to be a nice day yesterday.  It wasn't, but I went anyway.  That is after three hours of collecting sap.  Second day in a row and will do it again later today. Did I sleep well? Well ... ask my wife.  Never got to church last night.  Didn't wake until 6:30 this morning.

Wow!  Anyway, I started at the Pigeon.  It was low, slightly stained from the night's rain, and clogged.  Boy, is it clogged.  Then I trucked over to the Sheboygan.  Wind coming across the golf course made casts a tad unpredictable, but I got my legs wader ready and the arms stretched in a different direction than they had been in the morning.

Talked to two guys on the pool below the culvert - one spey casting one soaking spawn.  They had not seen nor had anything.  Wind was not their friend either.  My guess would be if steelhead are in your menu and your freezer is empty, head south.  There seems to be action there.  Pictures attached.

Keep a good thought!

Jerry
