Black, minority Trump supporters censored by Gannett, other media at 2020 RNC Convention. Expect the same as Milwaukee hosts 2024 RNC Convention. Look back four years Wisconsin, to compare and contrast Gannett’s corrupt coverage of the 2020 Republican and Democratic National Conventions to know what to expect July 15-18 when the nation’s eyes rest on Milwaukee, home of the 2024 RNC convention.  The DNC will showcase its conventi...

Go Downtown Kenosha Small Business Bunny Hop on April 1

All are invited to the fourth annual Go Downtown Kenosha Small Business Bunny Hop on Saturday, April 12. The event is free. This is a fun way to visit and support Downtown Kenosha restaurants, shops, attractions, salons, and other businesses.

On April 12, between 10 AM and 1 PM, visit dozens of participating businesses to collect Easter eggs. Candy and sticker filled eggs will be available for children, and eggs featuring coupons and other special offers will be available for adults. Some of the places will also be offering additional activities or deals during the event. Shop, dine, and explore as you gather eggs!

The day gets started with Storytime at the Kenosha Public Library – Simmons Branch, 711 59th Place. Meet here at 9 AM. The Easter Bunny will be on-site for this free read-aloud session from 9:15 to 9:45 AM in the activity/community room, accessible by spiral staircase (we apologize, this area is not ADA accessible).

Following Storytime, families are invited to stroll with the Easter Bunny and John Fox, who was a co-founder of the Original Bunny Hop event, as he makes his way from the library, through downtown, to the Rhode Center for the Arts at 514 56th Street.

At Rhode Center for the Arts from 10 AM to 1 PM, take photos with the Easter Bunny, enjoy free face painting, and check off a stop on the Bunny Hop here – collect an egg for kids and an egg for adults.

Then continue your stroll through Downtown Kenosha to grab more eggs and offers at participating venues. See if you can find more bunnies downtown, too! We heard there will be one on the Streetcar and at Millie Bo Peep - the bunnies are multiplying!

Ride the Electric Streetcar for free during regular hours, 10:35 AM to 6:15 PM. This is courtesy of Visit Kenosha, in partnership with the Lakeshore Business Improvement District.

Go to GoDowntownKenosha.com for the list of participating businesses. Please be courteous and only take one egg per person at each venue you visit so as many people as possible can participate in the event. Eggs will be available while supplies last.

This event is presented by Lakeshore Business Improvement District, Visit Kenosha, and participating businesses.
