Gear up for spring fishing opener -- online chat April 3 @ noon

The countdown is on to the May 3 opening day of the regular inland fishing season. Get the latest information on likely fishing conditions, fish populations, and changes in regulations with our online chat starting at noon on Thursday, April 3. Our fish biologists are ready to answer your questions on these topics and more.

To ask them your questions, visit dnr.wi.gov, and look for the box on the right to enter the chat, or search the phrase "ask the experts." Or join through DNR’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/WIDNR, by clicking the "Cover it Live Chat" box on the top of the page.

If you can’t join us at that time, read the transcript of the chat at your leisure at the same link. And get fish biologists’ forecasts and fish population results in our 2014 Wisconsin Fishing Report.

Fish on, Wisconsin!
