7/9/14 –  Reported by Long Lake Bait and Tackle

The fishing is GREAT on Long Lake!  All species are biting extremely well!  Everything still seems to be remaining fairly shallow yet in the 3' - 8' range, though some have been caught in the 12' - 18' depths.  Lots of really nice Crappie, Bluegill, Walleye, Small & Large Mouth Bass, and reports of some really big Northern breaking lines!  Folks are having luck with all types of bait ranging from minnows, crawlers, worms, leeches, & waxies.  Also working are plastics, spinner baits, and Rapala's.  It's a fisherman's choice.  So come visit us and enjoy the fishing on Long Lake!
