Long Lake Bait and Tackle:
The water temps are varying along with the ups and downs of the air temp. All species of fish are being caught at depths ranging from 8' to 25' mostly off the deep edge of weed beds and structure areas. Still some nice size to the Crappie using Crappie minnows, waxies, & worms along with jigs & tubes with or without bobbers early morning or late afternoon to early evening. Just had a report of some extremely nice Blue Gills at about 20' early a.m. Lots of smaller Walleye being caught various hours of the day with reports of some nice ones (26"-30") at depths of 12'-20' Lindy Rigs and crankbaits have been popular. Still some nice size Large & Smallmouth Bass as well along with a few nice sized Northern. Despite the rain last weekend, fishing was phenomenal!
