5/20/15- Reported by Jim Stroede Guide Service

It's been cooler than normal the past week here in Washburn County and the fishing has cooled down as well.  The crappie spawn is all but over, we did catch some good ones even during the cold weather, but now that's about done. Walleyes are bitting but are finicky in doing so.  Slip bobber rigs and jigs with minnows are catching a few. Haven't heard of any trolling bite yet.The good news is that this weekend will see a nice warm up, expect more seasonal weather to boost the fishing a lot.  I'm expecting a good bass and bluegill bite this weekend, both species should be moving shallow to spawn.

Good luck and good fishing,

Jim Stroede
