Central Wisconsin Outdoor Report
It has been a very busy week in central Wisconsin with both bear season and early goose season going on, along with some great fishing, not to mention the opener of the 2018 deer archery season that begins this weekend. With all these things going on it is hard to decide which one to do. There are only so many hours in the day and only 7 days in the week but a guy wants to try to do them all.
With that said the walleye fishing continues to be outstanding. We are seeing not only good numbers but some very nice sized fish as well. In addition to the great walleye fishing we are picking up some very nice bass, bluegills, crappies and catfish. Jigs tipped with crawlers or minnows are working well right now with the water temperatures holding in the mid to upper 60 degree range.
Hunters heading out this weekend should be prepared for warm conditions and with that said be prepared to process your game immediately, or at the very least get it packed with ice to cool it down, because it will quickly spoil in these warm temperatures.
Have a great week,
