Central Wisconsin Outdoor Report 9/24/14
|
It has been another great week to be in in Central Wisconsin. With all the trees turning several shades of brilliant colors, along with outstanding hunting and fishing opportunities, how can it get any better? Area sportsmen and women are seeing a beautiful arrangement of fall colors as they head out in the central Wisconsin area. With many trees in our area at full peak colors, now is a great time to get out and enjoy the scenery. Hunters have been very successful this past week with local water fowlers taking advantage of an abundant number of geese on our area fields and waters. In addition to the water fowl hunters, the early season archery hunters have been seeing some success with deer and local bear hunters are still getting it done. Check out the photo of Todd Schoepke with his 2014 bear that he just shot this past week. Fishing has been outstanding this past week with musky and walleye topping the charts. Not only have anglers have had great success with numbers of fish but they are seeing some really big fish too. Several muskies topping the 25 pound mark this past week have been proof that they are starting to put on the fall feed bag. Walleye numbers are up and the action has been basically non-stop. From here on out until ice up the fishing and hunting is only going to get better and better. Take some time and get out and enjoy some of what Central Wisconsin has to offer on the water and in the woods.
