Ashland Fishing Report
River Rock Inn & Bait Shop, 1200 West Lake Shore Drive, Ashland WI 54806. 715-682-3232. Scott Bretting from River Rock reports: Browns and Salmon are scattered in the Bay and off the mouth of the rivers and some being caught in the river at Fish Creek and the Sioux and others. Keep in mind that Lake Trout fishing is closed in Lake Superior Wisconsin waters until December 1st. Bass Fishing is fantastic in the Bay this time of year with the Bass being very active. However, heavy winds can make it difficult to get out so be sure and check your forecast before venturing out. Inland Lake Musky Fishing has been great with some nice size Muskies being caught. However, it is difficult to get out on the Lakes with some ice starting to form on the landings. There are cool temps now and some skim ice is forming which is not safe at all yet.
If you are coming to fish and it is too windy, remember, we have bird hunting with fantastic numbers being reported in Ashland County. Gun Deer Season starts November 21st and the non-archers baiting for the big buck have seen some nice trophy bucks on cameras. Good Luck Hunters! Don't wait to get your license. You can get them online which is a safe way to get them instead of going in the Bait Shop.
Anglers All, 2803 East Lake Shore Drive, Ashland WI 54806. 715-682-5754.
Carolyn at Anglers All reports: The best thing right now is to check the forecast and call us for the current conditions. There are Brown Trout closer to shore, so casting off shore could be a possibility right now. During this bit of a warmup in the forecast try casting from shore! The fish are biting there.
Reminder: Lake Superior Tributary Streams closed on the 15th of November.
Grouse hunting has been reported to be very good.
Gun Dear Hunting Season starts this Saturday, November 21st. Good Luck Hunters!
