Ashland Fishing Report October 15, 2019
Anglers All reports: The following report still works! Lake Trout Fishing is now closed for the season. There has been good action on Coho, Browns and Spake fishing along the Washburn shoreline and by Long Island. The Streams have Coho's, Browns, and some Steelheads moving in but keep an eye on the weather conditions!
Scott Bretting from River Rock Inn & Bait Shop reports: With the recent rain the water is cloudy right now. Autumn fishing is underway as the air temps are really cooling. We are in the fall cooler water temps now. Fish are very active right now. There has been a lot of rain and wind which has made it a little tough to get out. Lake Trout fishing is now closed for the season and will re-open on December 1st. Anglers are catching some nice cohos in the Bay now. Browns are in the streams and Coho's are starting to show up. Anglers are using spinners, spawn, mepps, blue fox and panther martins and a variety of colors. Streams are active right now. Inland Lakes are doing well with Walleye, Pan Fish and Crappies being caught. The Musky bite is on with some dandy size Musky being caught. The bait used for Musky fishing has been Bait Rigs Musky tackle and sucker minnows. We have a great Chequamegon Bay Fishing Brochure/Map which shows some of our shoreline fishing spots. Hunters; don't wait, get your rifles sited in before the weather gets too bad.
