AAshland Area Fishing Report for Nov. 26, 2014
~ Fishing Guide Roger LaPenter and wife Carolyn from Anglers All, 715/682-5754 (http://www.anglersallwisconsin.com), report the following:
This report is about the Ashland side of Chequamegon Bay. Fishing is pretty much on hold right now as anglers eagerly await the start of ice fishing season.
Roger LaPenter, proprietor of Anglers All, recently remarked that the way it’s looking right now with these bitterly cold temperatures that it won’t be long before ice fishing season is here.
“I’m thinking it will be safe for people to get out on the bay and start ice fishing right after deer season,” Roger said. “We should have enough ice by then.”
As always, conditions can change rapidly on Lake Superior. For your own safety and especially if you are unfamiliar with the area you will be fishing, hire a local guide or check with a bait shop prior to venturing out on any ice. For the most complete and up-to-date fishing report, just give them a call at Anglers All and they will gladly keep you informed!
