Adventure Edition Truck Project
Outdoor enthusiasts contribute ideas for the ultimate family adventure vehicle. (Kenosha, WI) - - What would you do, if someone asked your advice on how to create the ultimate outdoor family hunting / adventure vehicle? What would the interior look like? How big would the tires be? Would it need electronics to keep the passengers entertained on long trips? What about storage space, exterior color, and maybe some off-road lighting? That was exactly the challenge that was proposed last fall, to sportsmen across North America. The outdoor-themed project concept was developed by theme-vehicle designers, J ROBERT Marketing and will be used to encourage families to get active and participate in outdoor activities. “America has a vast backyard of amazing places to visit, full of outdoor activities.” explained J Robert President, Jhan Dolphin “I sincerely hope this truck might inspire a few families to look beyond the theme-park vacation, and get active in the outdoors.” The vehicle is a brand new Ford F150 that has been upgraded, modified, and customized with a wide variety of aftermarket goodies and was completely built with input from people who love the outdoors. Last fall, outdoor enthusiasts were invited to join the project, asking them to submit ideas and suggestions as to what should be included in the custom vehicle. All ideas were to be based on their own outdoor experiences and requirements when heading to the wilderness. Hundreds of suggestions were submitted through social media from people who love to fish, hunt, hike, camp, and mountain bike. “We were thrilled with the amount of passionate and detailed suggestions!” exclaimed Dolphin, “and… it was great to see most ideas coming from people right here in the Midwest.” Dolphin’s team used the suggestions and outfitted the truck with accessories and upgrades from some of the biggest names in aftermarket automotive and outdoor products industries. The J Robert team that completed the custom build included work and fabrication by: CPV Paint & Graphics in Racine, WI, Attitude Performance in Arlington Heights, IL, and Maxxsonics Corporation in Lake Zurich, IL. The truck was unveiled at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas last November as part of the Ford Motor Co exhibit. Currently, the vehicle is traveling the Midwestern states, and will visit numerous outdoor shows, adventure races, and outdoor enthusiast events throughout the remainder of 2014. This Father’s Day weekend, the vehicle can be seen traveling through Door County Wisconsin. Fans can follow the vehicle on Twitter: @AdventureFord or… visit: www.jrobertDesigns.com to see exactly what was added to the vehicle. |
