4/27/14 Central Wisconsin Outdoor Report
Outstanding walleye action on the Wisconsin river this past week with lots of fish being caught. Most of the walleyes are from 15 to 20 inches but we are also catching some real giants up to and over 30 inches. The bite has been very consistent all day long and even after dark with most of the fish coming on jig and minnow combinations during the daytime but at night the bite has been best on crankbaits. The 2014 turkey season has been very good for hunters so far this year. Most of the birds that are being taken have been associated with known feeding areas early in the day but a few savvy hunters are bagging their birds along oak ridges and in cedar swamps during mid day hours.
