This past weekend we had people in who were going to be on McKenzie, Long Lake, Rice Lake (Burnett county), but nobody was bragging about the fishing. The gills were 25' deep on one lake. The Flirty Girty's and glow demons were the best thing they found to use.
The Spooner Lions club had their contest on Spooner Lake and not very many people caught fish.
We just need a little warmer weather to get the fish moving, they are cold too!
This weekend’s fishing contests are at Hayward on Saturday and Cumberland on Sunday. Both are big contests with lots of prizes.
