11/5/13 Rice Lake Fishing Report
Water temps are really dropping now. The fish are looking to follow the same pattern.
Walleyes are hitting the deeper water and will stay there, or head deeper until the ice covers the lakes. Not every walleye will be deep, but the majority of your fish will be. Best ways to catch these walleye are jig and minnow fishing vertically, or dragging Lundy rigs with a minnow. Do not be afraid to go BIG! Fall walleyes will eat a big presentation. Give them more time to eat if you are Lundy rigging.
Work areas over slow and steady. This is a great time to put a monster fish of a lifetime in the boat. Sometimes one or two fish right now can be a good day, but they could be giants.
